Gerald Haddock

CEO, Chairman of the Board, and Chairman of the Executive Committee

 

Gerald Haddock is the CEO, Chairman of the Board, and Chairman of the Executive Committee. In 2000, Mr. Haddock decided to use his more than 30 years of financial, real estate, oil and gas, and legal experience in order to form his own company, Haddock Enterprises, LLC, and focus on private equity and commercial real estate investments.

Prior to forming Haddock Enterprises, Mr. Haddock served as president and chief executive officer of Crescent Real Estate Equities, a diversified real estate investment trust. As Co-founder, CEO and COO, they acquired commercial office projects throughout downtown Dallas and Houston and went public in 1994.

In addition to his role as president of Haddock Investments, Gerald Haddock serves on numerous for-profit and not-for-profit boards, including the board for Meritage Homes Corporation, the Board of Trustees for the Baylor College of Medicine, the Baylor University Executive Investment Committee, and several others.

Mr. Haddock has his BBA from Baylor University, JD from Baylor University School of Law, LLM from New York University School of Law, and MBA from Dallas Baptist University.

David Wheeler

Chief Operating Officer

David Wheeler is the Chief Operating Officer for Silver Star Properties REIT, Inc and President of affiliates of the Company. He has over thirty-five years of experience in the acquisition, disposition, financing, and leasing of commercial real estate investments.

 

At the firm, David’s responsibilities include sourcing investment opportunities in self-storage, shopping centers, office buildings, and industrial properties, to closing, ownership transition, asset management, and disposition. He oversees the company’s capital markets activities, including acquisition, financing, and disposition programs. He sits on the company’s finance committee and oversees the firm’s leasing and marketing activities.

 

Prior to joining Silver Star Properties REIT in January 2003, David carried out a 16-year tenure with CBRE. At CBRE, he served as Vice President of the Investment Services Division where he successfully completed the sale of over nine million square feet throughout the South-Central U.S., including thirteen self-storage facilities. While at CBRE, David represented Storage Trust, now an entity of Public Storage, and its DFW expansion.

 

David’s educational background includes an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate from Southern Methodist University and a BS in Civil Engineering with an option in Construction Management from Texas A&M University.

Adrienne Collins

General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Adrienne Collins serves as our General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Adrienne’s experience includes corporate, private placements, and business transactions with an emphasis in the commercial real estate sector.

 

Before joining Silver Star, she was an attorney in private practice where she focused on representing real estate investment firms in the acquisition and disposition of retail, office, industrial and multi-family assets, as well as corporate governance, equity raises, leasing and management, and brokerage agreements.

 

Adrienne has experience in serving as an executive and outside general counsel for businesses in the real estate adjacent industries (such as finance, construction, electric vehicle charger ownership and management) and has provided material legal support for start-ups, including negotiating the sales of goods and services and handling employment matters.

 

Adrienne holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law and a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.

Louis T Fox III Portrait

Louis T. Fox, III

Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer

Louis T. Fox, III is our Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. He has responsibility for financial reporting, accounting, treasury, and investor relations.

 

Prior to joining Silver Star Properties REIT in March, 2007, Lou served as Chief Financial Officer of Legacy Brands, a restaurant group from April 2006 until January 2007. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Unidynamics, Inc., a specialized EPC manufacturer of unique handling system solutions for the marine and energy industries from January 2004 until April 2006. He also served as Treasurer and CFO of Goodman Manufacturing, a major manufacturer of residential and commercial HVAC products for 9 years prior to that. In addition to his years of experience in the manufacturing industry, he has served in senior financial positions in the construction and debt collection service concerns. Lou is a former practicing certified public accountant.

 

He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He started his career as a tax accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co.
